Clutch and Gearbox Problems:

If you experience any of the following, bring your vehicle in (or contact us if it’s not driveable) and we’ll run a free check to diagnose the problem: Low frequency judder and vibration, slipping clutch (usually accompanied by a burning smell), difficulty in engaging or changing gears, a fierce clutch that suddenly grabs even when you let the clutch pedal out slowly, clunking, rattling or grinding noises, slipping out of gear.

Repairs & Servicing

Image

A vehicle engine contains many moving parts and processes and for efficient running they all need to work well. Over time, things begin to get out of line and need adjusting. All manufacturers recommend set service intervals. With a new car they are required to maintain your warranty (you don’t have to pay dealer prices btw, our stamp is your guarantee and maintains your warranty staus). With older cars it’s tempting to let things slide till something goes wrong, but that’s false economy. Our basic service prices are from just £39.95 and that’s a small price to pay for your peace of mind.

Tune Up

Regular servicing helps to maintain your cars performance and fuel ecomony, but if you really want to get the most from your engine we can help. We use Terrclean to remove carbon build up. By taking a vehicle back to its level of cleanliness not long after being new the efficiency and performance are improved.

Theses days the power and performance of most cars is limited, not by any particular mechanical factor, but by the software running in the engine control unit (ECU). So if you want greater performance and pulling power from your car, or alternatively if you’re seeking mpg improvements, ask us about engine remapping.

Every day, we help consumers and businesses find resolutions to automotive disputes. We are entirely impartial and our Codes of Practice promote responsible business in all things motoring.

Things do sometimes go wrong when buying and servicing vehicles. If the dispute is with a business accredited to The Motor Ombudsman, you don’t need to keep struggling to resolve a problem: we can help.

It won’t cost you anything.

We don’t take sides. We look at what’s happened and resolve the issue based on the information given to us, our Codes of Practice and consumer law.

Alternative Dispute Resolution involves an impartial third party reviewing the evidence and making a decision, offering a view or helping the parties come to an agreement. This is a free and swift alternative to taking the issue to court.

The Motor Ombudsman is certified to deal with vehicle manufacturers, warranty product providers, franchise dealers, independent garages and car retailers and manufacturer authorised repairers who are accredited to one or more of our Codes.
